A family of blacksmiths

Days and nights lit by the flames of a forge and the blows of hammers, Mr. Antonio García Montoro, a craftsman of farming and cutting tools, works tirelessly to support his family; who will continue the tradition and expand their activity to the manufacture of trivets, tongs, and forged spatulas. This is the beginning of our story.

The Beginning of the Journey

Mr. Enrique A. García Martí continues his father’s workshop and begins to manufacture the first handcrafted paellas. The scarcity of raw materials is one of the greatest challenges to overcome during these years. From any scrap of iron, a piece would be made—this was the great virtue of the artisan blacksmith.

Mrs. Encarnación Campos, wife of Mr. Enrique, sells this beautiful craftsmanship along with other goods at a stall in the Central Market of Valencia.

Evolution and Internationalization

During the 1950s and 60s, production was entirely manual, based on anvils, hammers, and mallets. Mr. Enrique appears in the first preserved record of the Industrial Census. Gradually, the production structure evolved towards greater mechanization. The workshop relocated to adapt to this growth. The second generation of the family became established.

Following the death of Mr. Enrique, his son Antonio García Campos took over the business at just 20 years old. With an entrepreneurial mindset

Expansion

It became necessary to purchase land and build a new factory on the outskirts, as the new machines no longer fit in the original workshop. Through daily hard work, a new family has been supported, but also a unique human team has been forged—committed and ready to give everything for a project that is beginning to grow.

Registered trademark

In 1979, the company GARCIMA, S.L. was officially established.

Antonio García Campos continues to run the business. He is the third generation since that artisan blacksmith's workshop. Managing the business more professionally, the trajectory during those years points to leading the national market in the manufacture and sale of Valencian paella pans and gas paella cookers.

Consolidation

In the 1990s, the company focused on exports and participated in the creation of the world's largest Valencian paella. The incorporation of the fourth generation of the family during these years provided new impetus to adapt the company to the new millennium, a globalised and growing market.

Adaptation

The new century brings with it not only the need to adapt to a globalised market. Despite the serious financial crisis, GARCIMA remains steadfast, building on its strengths: serious and dedicated family management, reinvesting profits to improve and expand its production capacity.

Present day

Today, the company remains committed to quality, collaboration with suppliers and tradition, offering high-quality products. History continues to be written from a house in a small village, where art, technology and tradition come together.
